New Zealand domestic canoe polo competition includes national school competition, an Inter-club based National League (April - June), and the annual Inter-regional Championship held in October.

2010 National League Championships

A Grade

Tournament One: Christchurch, QE2 Pool, 24-24 April
Tournament Two: Hamilton, Water World, 22-23 May
Tournament Three and Finals: Wellington, Nae Nae Aquatic Centre, 12-13 June

B & C Grades

North Island Tournament One: Otaki, Otaki Pool, 17-18 April
South Island Tournament One: Dunedin,1 May
South Island Tournament Two: Christchurch, QE2 Pool,15-16 May
North Island Tournament Two: Hawkes Bay, Flaxmere Pool, 15-16 May
Tournament Three and Finals: Wellington, Regional Aquatic Centre, 5-7 June

 

Summer Competitions 2008-2009

South Island Champs

Where: Lake Roto Kohatu, Christchurch
When: 6th & 7th December 2008

Entry Cost: $150 per team
Grades: Open A & B, Women’s, Schools
Extras: Hire equipment is available for $5 per person. Campsites are available 300m from the competition pitch at North South Holiday Park on the corner of Sawyers Arms Road and Johns Road. Please contact them directly for bookings ph: (03) 359 5993. 

 

Atahua Cup

Where: Centennial Lagoon, Palmerston North
When: 7th & 8th February 2009

Entries Close: 27th January 2009
Entry Cost: A grade: $150/team; B grade: $100/team
Grades: Open A & B, Women’s A & B, Mixed Novice
Extras: A large marquee will be available on site for protection from the weather. No early starts or late
finishes! The competition will stage two courts. Also note that this year the competition committee guarantees a good level of water in the lagoon due to a bore being sunk to ensure regular clean water. Spare kit is available for the Novice grades.
